Reflecting on my life and the lives of those around me, i say:
- How can you expect love to find you when you keep running around looking for it?
- Happiness is not what someone or something can give you, it’s what you allow yourself to have.
- Success is not a matter of luck or fate, it is something you aim for and work hard for.
- I read somewhere, ‘Avoid the company of losers for their disease is contagious.’ And I’m glad I did.
- Yes, experience is the best teacher, but it doesn’t have to be yours. Learn from others.

A mother has responsibility towards her child, not because she has given birth to it, but because she can do things to influence the child’s life, positively or negatively, that the child itself cannot do.
From me:
I’ve seen so many parents forget the immense influence they have on their child. They carry on with their business as adults, often forgetting that children see them, hear them and learn from them. It must be tough being a parent, balancing one’s needs and that of the children’s… I’m enormously glad and extremely grateful that, even in his darkest days, my dad always put ours first.
